Privacy policy
Effective 2026-10-27. This page explains what Hospitality Hatch collects and how it is used. The short version: we run a job board, not a data business.
What we collect
• Visitors: standard web-server logs (pages requested, approximate location derived from IP, browser type) and Google Analytics 4 measurement (cookies and similar technologies) used only to understand aggregate site usage -- which pages are read, which listings are clicked. We do not create accounts for job seekers, and we never collect resumes, applications, or candidate profiles. Applying to a job happens on the employer’s or board’s own site, under their privacy policy. The optional shortlist feature stores saved listings only in your own browser’s local storage; those entries never leave your browser, are not sent to us, and are not analytics data.
• Employers who use the free listing form: the business name, contact email, market, venue type, role, optional posting link, optional pay range, and any notes you submit. This is used solely to review, verify, and (if accepted) publish your listing, and to reply to you. We do not sell, rent, or share this information with anyone else.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not run advertising trackers beyond our own analytics. We do not profile job seekers, because we do not collect anything about them beyond anonymous, aggregate analytics.
Your rights (California and Nevada)
California residents (CCPA/CPRA) may request disclosure of the personal information we hold about them, request deletion, and are free from discrimination for exercising these rights; Nevada residents (NRS 603A) have comparable rights. Because the only personal information we hold is employer-submission contact data, these requests are simple: email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days (usually much faster). California’s “Shine the Light” law is honored the same way.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate traffic. GA4 sets first-party cookies and may share data with Google LLC under Google’s own privacy terms; you can block these cookies in your browser without losing access to any part of the site. We do not use GA4 data to build individual profiles and it is not linked to any employer submission.
Retention and security
Employer submissions are retained while the listing is live and for up to 12 months afterward for dispute-resolution purposes, then deleted. Data is stored on encrypted infrastructure. Access is limited to the site operator.
Children
This site is directed at adults seeking employment and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the effective date above will change and the revision will be posted on this page.
